Os Fillos de Breogán estamos orgullosos de ter coñecido a Seánie McEvoy, excelente persoa e todo un amante dos deportes gaélicos. O seu forte era o hurling, o deporte sobre herba máis rápido do mundo e tamén, abofé, o máis duro. Seánie acompañounos esta tempada ós torneos do Campionato Ibérico. E, este verán, arranxou un amistoso co mellor equipo da súa cidade, o St. John's Volunteers, ó que acudiu o vicepresidente da GAA, Sheamus Howlin, tamén nativo de Wexford. Seánie casou cunha coruñesa hai xa corenta anos en Inglaterra, cando os galegos e os irlandeses andabamos polo mundo emigrados. Agora vive cun pé na Coruña e con outro en Wexford. A súa familia, encantadora, tratounos de luxo en Wexford e, certamente, todo agradecemento á súa implicación cos Fillos de Breogán para un home de setenta anos que parece que ten vinte é pouco. Por iso, e porque nos gustou todo da súa terra natal (a xente, a vila e a paisaxe), queremos rendirlle tributo facendo unha peña de seareiros de Wexford (ou Loch Garman en gaélico). Como sempre repite Seánie e como figura no lema do equipo do condado: Le croí agus lámh, ou o que é o mesmo: coa man e co corazón.

Así, neste 2011, nace esta peña. Para todos os que vos queirades apuntar, contactade comigo, Wences (pro.acoruna.europe@gaa.ie) ou con Sebas (chairperson.acoruna.europe@gaa.ie). Sentímonos moi ben entre os seareiros de Dublín, animando ó equipo ante Donegal ou Meath o ano pasado. Tamén nos trataron xenial en Cork, puidendo ver o estadio e adestrando cos nosos amigos dos Nemo Rangers. Pero o trato de Seánie e dos Volunteers fai que a familia Zapata, presidente e tesoureiro dos Fillos de Breogán, nos decantemos como primeiro equipo polos que visten de púrpura e ouro ademais de Los Angeles Lakers. Loch Garman abú!!!!!!

O noso obxectivo no futuro é poder ver ó equipo de Wexford en directo no Wexford Park, estadio para 25.000 persoas. Este ano, chegaron á final de Leinster, aínda que sucumbiron con Dublín. En All-Ireland non chegaron moi lonxe, pero case consiguen ascender a segunda división, só o golaveraxe llo impediu. O ano que vén, talvez poidamos ver en vivo ós do Model County. Longa vida ós Yellowbellies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C'mon Wexford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
